Growing Standard was founded by Daniel Segal, a certified PK-6 teacher with a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Marymount University.
Learning software can check every pedagogical box and still lose the student the moment practice becomes optional. We design against that question first, then let instructional rigor follow. Features are shaped by daily use in a working classroom as we build them, and the 2026–27 pilot cohort is where we'll formally study them alongside teacher partners. When a teacher tells us something doesn't work, we fix it that week — not next quarter.
Potato Class (potatoclass.com) is the K-12 math and reading platform students use. Growing Standard LLC is the company that builds, sells, and supports it for schools and districts.
